2016 Brocathlon

2016 Brocathlon

The 2016 Inaugural Brocathlon had everything you would expect. Murphy and Connor overslept, Riley didn’t show up, and Jason left early. When the Brocathletes actually competed, however, it was nothing but greatness, with Paul Murray becoming the first ever Brocathlon champion in surprising fashion.

THE FACTS

  • Paul Murray was crowned Ultimate Male Champion WITHOUT WINNING AN EVENT. A true all-around bro.
  • Jonny Todd came in 2nd by 4 points and Bryce Winkler came in 3rd by 6.
  • The Ultimate Loser of Brocathletes who completed all 10 events was Jake Murphy.
  • Jason Nagy was in the hunt with 3 events left but had to leave early.
  • Bryce Winkler became upset at the end of his run in Misty May’s Volleyball Tourney because of what he perceived to be cheating by Gage and Connor.
  • 3 Brocathletes each tied for the lead with 2 event wins.
  • Jake Murphy INCREDIBLY went 7:52 in the Oscar Meyer Hotdog Mile.
  • Jonny Todd even more incredibly ate a 10pc Chicken McNugget in 44.59 seconds.
  • Jonny Todd smashed 9 home runs in the Barry Bonds Juiced Up Baseball Blast.
  • Bryce Winkler sunk 13/25 3 pointers in the JR SWISH 3 Point Shootout.
  • Alex Nupp came through in the clutch, winning the Disc Golf Challenge over Connor and Bryce by 1 and 2 strokes respectively.
  • During a midday break in the Winkler pool playing water knockout, Connor had to be lifted out of the water by Bryce because of both calves cramping up.
